Why Does Netty Love Creating?

Creativity has always been a part of who I am. As a kid,I was constantly drawing, writing stories, and dreaming up new ideas. Creating was my happy place. When my mom passed away, something changed. I stopped drawing. I lost the motivation to create, and for a long time I felt disconnected from the part of myself that loved making things.

Years later, I discovered sewing, crafting, and creating with my hands. Piece by piece, I found my way back. Making something from nothing brought me a sense of peace during a time when my mind felt anything but peaceful.

Then COVID happened.

Like so many people, I started investing in new hobbies. I bought my Silhouette Cameo, my printer, and dove headfirst into learning. Before I knew it, I wasn't just making projects—I was building a business around something I genuinely loved.

Today, I work with fabric, paper, vinyl, digital design, and so much more. Every new skill opens another door, and I love exploring where creativity can take me.I also use AI as part of my creative process. For me, it's a brainstorming partner—a way to explore ideas, test concepts, and create templates that help bring my own vision to life. It's one of many tools in my toolbox, not a replacement for creativity. I still love drawing, I support real artists by attending art shows, and I continue creating art just for myself because that part of me will always matter.

Outside of creating, I'm a horror movie fan, a lover of nostalgic things, and proudly an early-'80s Xennial. I find inspiration everywhere, from vintage memories to bold colors, quirky ideas, and the unexpected.

One of the biggest things I've learned is how to truly love who I am. This business is a reflection of that journey.When you shop with me, I don't just want you to receive a product. I want you to feel that excitement you had as a kid when you finally got something you'd been wishing for—the anticipation, the joy, the feeling that something was made just for you.
